The Hypnotension™ programme is a collaboration between two experienced hypnotherapists, with combined experience of nearly 20 years. Both are passionate about helping reduce the burden of hypertension, and they have created the Hypnotension programme so that hypnotherapists from around the world can make a positive supporting contribution alongside primary medical care.
Rob Woodgate
Rob is CNHC registered and a Fellow of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, with a private practice in North Kent. Rob trained at the internationally acclaimed Quest Institute and also holds a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from the Psychotherapy and Hypnosis Training Academy (PHTA) as well as the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) which is the first nationally accredited hypnotherapy qualification, awarded by the NCFE National Awarding Body.
He also trained with the legendary Gil Boyne to masterclass level, and was a close friend and collaborator with Gil in his final years. Rob’s interest in Hypertension spans nearly 10 years, and he has seen first hand the effects that the emotional mind can have in the creation and reduction of high blood pressure. His experiences and research into the condition have formed the framework for the Hypnotension programme.
Rob was Editor of the Hypnotherapy Journal, a leading professional publication read by over 1800 hypnotherapists in the UK alone, from 2006 to 2011, and has also served as the Professional Development Director for the National Council for Hypnotherapy.
Paul Howard
Paul is also CNHC registered and NCH accredited as well as director of the Surrey Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Paul studied to diploma level with Gil Boyne who was arguably the worlds greatest clinical hypnotherapist with over 55 years of experience.
Paul also trained with the BST foundation in London, and in 2002 he studied with Paul McKenna, Michael Breen and Richard Bandler. He is qualified as an Master C-NLP Practitioner and an anxiety specialist. He has special interests in Psoriasis, Hypertension and anxiety. He has worked with hundreds of hypertensive clients over the years and therefore has first hand experience of the methods used in the Hypnotension programme.
He has trained hundreds of students from around the country to HPD diploma level as well as running master classes in Anxiety and Psoriasis.
Paul served as the marketing director for the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the UK’s leading not-for-profit professional association, for 8 years.
